Are you interested in teaching, facilitating, or telling your story to others?

LEAD CLASSES:

NAMI NC is looking for volunteer Teachers and Mentors for our classes. Volunteers should have experience in being affected by mental illness–whether family members (Family-to-Family, Basics, Homefront) or those living with mental illness themselves (Peer-to-Peer).

FACILITATE GROUPS

Our Support Groups provide an environment where participants can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom.   In our 2-day training, you will learn how to co-facilitate one of these on-going support groups.

TELL YOUR STORY!

Our presentation training programs help guide you on how to present your story to change attitudes, assumptions and stereotypes about people with mental health conditions.  In Our Own Voice, NAMI Smarts, and Ending the Silence educate the public about mental illness, recovery, and NAMI’s mission of education, support, and advocacy.
