Madeline Jaekle has been a member of NAMI NC since 2014 and is the Chair of the NAMI NC Peer Leadership Council (PLC). She is currently a PhD student and researcher enrolled in the Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions Program at Rutgers University’s School of Health Professions. Since 2017 Madeline has served as a Board Member for NAMI Guilford and has participated in numerous projects, panels, fundraisers, and advocacy campaigns, including CIT training, IOOV presentations, NC NAMIWalks, and other community-based events and forums. Madeline is a NAMI Smarts Facilitator and a Peer-to-Peer Facilitator. She is WRAP Level I certified, has completed a 40-Hour NCCPSS training, and has contributed to the development of PSS trainings for State Certification. She is an Advisory Council Member for NC Disability Rights and a graduate of the 2019 Leadership Fellows Academy developed by NC DHHS, NCSU Institute for Nonprofits, and UNC-Chapel Hill’s School of Social Work.
