Stay woke: How to engage the younger generation in mental health awareness and advocacy

Dielle McMillan, BSW is a graduate student pursuing a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in community management and policy practice at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her Bachelors of Social Work at Meredith College and an 6 month internship with NAMI NC for non profit management. She was the 2017 National Association of Social Workers of North Carolina Tony Brown Award winner and the 2016 NAMI North Carolina Youth Empowerment Award winner. She was the president of the NAMI on Campus at Meredith College for the 2106-2017 school year and as a passion for engaging the younger generation in mental health awareness and advocacy.
