Powell Paguibitan is a teacher and educational researcher at Davidson Day School in Davidson, NC. His background includes experience at a drug and alcohol treatment center, medical hospitals, and as the director of sports psychology at Lake Norman Soccer Club. He is committed to promoting mental wellness curriculums in educational settings in order to help prevent mental disorders and raise awareness to mental disorder stigmas. He has developed curriculum that teaches middle schoolers how to recognize and change their emotions by understanding their thoughts through Cognitive Behavioral strategies. He has a B.S. in psychology from Kennesaw State University and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Vanderbilt University
